Service Provider Policy

Effective Date: 9th June 2026 Cameroonian Diaspora Investment Council

This Policy establishes the framework governing the registration, verification, listing, engagement, and monitoring of service providers on the CDIC platform. The objective is to facilitate trusted connections between diaspora investors and qualified local professionals and businesses.

1. Purpose

This Policy establishes the framework governing the registration, verification, listing, engagement, and monitoring of service providers on the CDIC platform.

The objective is to facilitate trusted connections between diaspora investors and qualified local professionals and businesses in Cameroon, ensuring that all provider interactions meet the standards of professionalism, integrity and accountability expected by CDIC.

2. Eligibility

The following categories of individuals and entities may register as service providers on the CDIC platform:

Companies
Sole Proprietors
Consultants
Contractors
Professional Firms
Technical Experts
Service Organizations

Applicants must have the legal authority to provide the services they offer and must comply with all applicable licensing and regulatory requirements in Cameroon.

3. Registration Requirements

All applicants are required to submit supporting documentation as part of the registration process. Required documents vary depending on whether the applicant is an individual or a company.

Company Applicants

  • Certificate of Incorporation
  • Taxpayer Number
  • Business License
  • Company Profile
  • Contact information

CDIC reserves the right to request additional documents where necessary to complete the verification process.

4. Verification

All providers listed on the CDIC platform undergo a verification process. Once a provider’s business identity, documentation and credentials have been reviewed and confirmed by CDIC, the provider receives the Verified Provider badge, reflecting successful completion of this process.

Green Badge

Business identity and documentation have been reviewed and verified by CDIC. The provider receives a Verified Provider badge, confirming their legitimacy and readiness to engage with diaspora investors.

5. Provider Obligations

All registered providers shall fulfill the following obligations while listed on the CDIC platform:

Maintain valid licenses, registrations and professional certifications at all times
Deliver services professionally and in accordance with agreed terms and specifications
Provide accurate, truthful and up-to-date information on their profile at all times
Maintain ethical standards of conduct in all engagements with clients and investors
Cooperate fully with all CDIC verification procedures, audits and reviews

6. Investor Connections

CDIC may facilitate introductions and connections between registered providers and diaspora investors seeking qualified local professionals and businesses.

Important Notice

CDIC acts solely as a facilitator and does not become a party to any contract, agreement or arrangement entered into between providers and investors. All contractual obligations, liabilities and responsibilities remain between the provider and the investor directly.

7. Reviews and Ratings

CDIC may collect reviews and ratings from clients following project completion. Review criteria include:

Overall Satisfaction

Reviews and ratings help maintain the quality and trustworthiness of the CDIC provider network, and may be taken into account when assessing a provider’s continued standing on the platform.

8. Complaints

Users may submit complaints regarding service providers through the CDIC platform. Accepted complaint categories include:

Fraud or dishonest conduct
Misrepresentation of services or qualifications
Poor or substandard service delivery
Breach of contract or agreed terms
Ethical misconduct or unprofessional behavior

CDIC reserves the right to investigate all complaints received and take appropriate action including suspension or removal of the provider from the platform.

9. Suspension or Removal

CDIC reserves the right to suspend or remove any provider from the platform in the following circumstances:

Fraudulent conduct or dishonest activity
Submission of false or misleading information
Repeated substantiated complaints from clients or investors
Violation of CDIC policies, terms or codes of conduct
Conduct that damages or is likely to damage the reputation of CDIC

Suspension or removal may occur without prior notice where the conduct poses an immediate risk to investors, clients or the integrity of the CDIC platform.

10. Disclaimer

CDIC provides a facilitation and directory platform only. CDIC does not guarantee any of the following in respect of registered providers:

Quality of Services

CDIC does not warrant or guarantee the quality of services delivered by any registered provider.

Project Outcomes

CDIC does not guarantee the completion, success or outcome of any project undertaken by a provider.

Business Performance

CDIC does not guarantee the financial performance, solvency or operational capacity of any provider.

Financial Results

CDIC does not guarantee any financial results from engagements between investors and providers.

Investor Due Diligence

Investors remain solely responsible for conducting their own due diligence before engaging any service provider listed on the CDIC platform.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CDIC shall not be liable for any of the following arising from or in connection with provider engagements:

Contract Disputes

Disputes arising between investors and providers from contractual agreements or service arrangements.

Financial Losses

Any financial losses incurred by investors or clients in connection with provider engagements.

Project Delays

Delays in project completion, delivery or performance caused by providers or third parties.

Professional Negligence

Acts or omissions of providers that constitute professional negligence or breach of duty.

Service Failures

Failure by providers to deliver services as agreed or to the standard expected by clients.

Contracts entered into between investors and providers remain private agreements between those parties. CDIC is not a party to such agreements and accepts no liability arising from them.

12. Policy Amendments

CDIC reserves the right to amend this Service Provider Policy at any time. Updated versions shall be published on the platform and shall become effective upon publication.

Continued registration and use of the CDIC platform following publication of an updated Policy constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Acknowledgement

By registering on the CDIC platform, providers acknowledge and confirm the following:

“I have read, understood, and accepted this Service Provider Policy in its entirety. I acknowledge that my continued registration on the CDIC platform constitutes ongoing acceptance of this Policy and all related CDIC policies, codes of conduct and terms of use.”

By registering on the CDIC Service Provider Portal, all providers confirm that they have read, understood and accepted this Service Provider Policy in full.
