Due Diligence Framework
Promoting Transparency, Trust, and Responsible Engagement
At the Cameroonian Diaspora Investment Council (CDIC), we recognize that trust is essential when connecting investors, project developers, service providers, development partners, and communities. To promote confidence and responsible decision-making, CDIC has established a Due Diligence Framework designed to support the review and verification of information submitted through our platform.
While CDIC is not a financial institution and does not guarantee investments or project outcomes, we strive to encourage transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct among all participants.
Our Due Diligence Objectives
The CDIC Due Diligence Framework aims to create a trusted environment where all participants can engage with confidence, clarity, and accountability.
Promote Transparency
Encouraging openness and credibility in all projects, opportunities, and provider listings on the CDIC platform.
Support Informed Decisions
Providing investors and partners with reviewed information that supports confident and well-considered decision-making.
Reduce Fraud Risk
Minimizing the risk of fraud and misrepresentation by reviewing documentation and verifying submitted information.
Encourage Ethical Practices
Holding all participants to high ethical standards and professional conduct throughout their engagement with CDIC.
Strengthen Investor Confidence
Building a reliable platform where investors can engage with greater confidence in the opportunities presented.
Enhance Opportunity Quality
Improving the quality and credibility of opportunities presented on the platform through consistent review processes.
Verification Process
Depending on the nature of the project, business, investment opportunity, or service provider, CDIC may conduct reviews that include the following areas.
Identity Verification
Verification of the identity of individuals, organizations, and authorized representatives.
Business & Organizational Review
Review of relevant business or organizational information to assess legitimacy and operational standing.
Project Review
Assessment of submitted project information to evaluate completeness, clarity, and viability.
Service Provider Verification

Verification Status Categories
To improve transparency, opportunities and providers may be assigned one of the following statuses on the CDIC platform.

Information and documentation have been reviewed in accordance with CDIC procedures. This status indicates that a review has been completed based on the information provided.
Under Review
Documentation has been received and is currently being assessed by the CDIC team. No action is required from the applicant at this stage.
Pending Information
Additional information or documentation has been requested from the applicant. The review will continue once the required information is received.
Not Verified
The required verification process has not been completed. This may indicate that documentation was not submitted, was insufficient, or did not meet requirements.
Your Responsibilities
CDIC’s due diligence process is a shared effort. Both investors and project developers play an important role in maintaining trust and integrity on the platform.
Investor Responsibility
CDIC encourages all investors to conduct their own independent due diligence before making any investment decision.
CDIC’s review process should not be considered a substitute for professional legal, financial, tax, technical, or investment advice.
Investors remain solely responsible for evaluating risks and making their own decisions.
Project Developer Responsibility
Project developers are responsible for ensuring that all information submitted to CDIC is accurate, complete, and up to date.
Providing false, misleading, or fraudulent information may result in suspension, removal from the platform, or referral to the appropriate authorities where necessary.
Continuous Monitoring
CDIC reserves the right to request updated information, conduct periodic reviews, or modify verification statuses where circumstances change or new information becomes available. This ensures that information on the platform remains current, accurate, and trustworthy.
Commitment to Trust & Integrity
Our Due Diligence Framework reflects CDIC’s commitment to building a trusted ecosystem where investors, entrepreneurs, professionals, service providers, and communities can connect with confidence.
By promoting transparency, accountability, and responsible engagement, we help create an environment that supports sustainable investment, entrepreneurship, and development throughout Cameroon.
