Membership Terms
& Conditions

Effective Date: 9th June 2026 Cameroonian Diaspora Investment Council

These Membership Terms and Conditions govern all membership applications, memberships, and related activities within the Cameroonian Diaspora Investment Council (CDIC). By applying for or holding membership, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Membership Eligibility

Membership is open to the following categories of individuals, businesses and institutions:

Cameroonians Abroad

Cameroonian nationals residing outside of Cameroon who wish to engage with CDIC’s investment, development and community programs.

Cameroonians at Home

Cameroonian nationals residing within Cameroon who wish to participate in and contribute to CDIC’s national development initiatives.

Friends & Supporters

Non-Cameroonian individuals, friends and supporters who share the values and objectives of CDIC and wish to contribute to Cameroon’s development.

Businesses & Institutions

Companies, businesses and institutions aligned with the mission and objectives of CDIC who wish to partner, invest or collaborate.

2. Membership Categories

CDIC offers three categories of membership, each designed to accommodate different types of members and levels of engagement:

Individual Membership

Annual Fee: FCFA 100,000

Open to Cameroonian nationals and supporters who wish to join CDIC as individual members. Annual membership fee is FCFA 100,000 (one hundred thousand CFA Francs) per year, renewable annually.

Institutional Membership

By agreement with CDIC

Available to associations, chambers of commerce, development agencies, and strategic partners that align with CDIC’s mission and wish to establish a formal institutional relationship.

3. Rights of Members

All members in good standing shall have the right to:

Participate in approved CDIC activities, events and programs
Receive organizational updates, newsletters and communications
Access membership benefits as defined by CDIC from time to time
Participate in consultations, forums and deliberative processes
Submit recommendations, proposals and feedback to CDIC leadership

4. Responsibilities of Members

All members shall:

Respect CDIC Policies

Comply with all CDIC policies, guidelines, decisions and governance frameworks at all times.

Provide Accurate Information

Ensure that all information submitted to CDIC is accurate, complete and up to date.

Maintain Professional Conduct

Conduct themselves professionally and respectfully in all CDIC activities, communications and engagements.

Support the Mission of CDIC

Actively support the mission, vision and objectives of CDIC and contribute positively to the organization’s goals.

5. Suspension and Termination

Membership may be suspended or terminated by CDIC in the following circumstances:

Fraudulent conduct or misrepresentation of any kind
Providing false or inaccurate information during the application process or thereafter
Violation of CDIC organizational policies, governance frameworks or codes of conduct
Actions that damage or are likely to damage the reputation of CDIC or its stakeholders

CDIC reserves the right to suspend or terminate membership without prior notice where conduct poses a risk to the organization, its members or its reputation.

6. Refund Policy

Membership fees paid to CDIC are subject to the following refund policy:

Membership fees are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law or expressly approved in writing by CDIC management on a case-by-case basis.

By submitting a membership application or maintaining active membership with CDIC, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Membership Terms and Conditions in full.
