Ambassador Code
of Conduct

Effective Date: 9th June 2026 Cameroonian Diaspora Investment Council

The CDIC Ambassador Program is established to strengthen diaspora engagement and promote the mission of the Cameroonian Diaspora Investment Council throughout the world. All ambassadors are expected to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and accountability.

1. Purpose

The CDIC Ambassador Program is established to strengthen diaspora engagement and promote the mission of the Cameroonian Diaspora Investment Council throughout the world. All ambassadors are expected to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and accountability in all activities undertaken on behalf of CDIC.

2. Core Principles

Every CDIC Ambassador shall:

Professionalism

Represent CDIC professionally and respectfully in all interactions and public engagements.

Unity

Promote unity among Cameroonians and foster a spirit of collaboration within the diaspora community.

Honesty & Transparency

Act honestly and transparently in all matters relating to CDIC and the ambassador role.

Legal Compliance

Respect local laws and regulations in the country of residence and in all jurisdictions where CDIC activities are conducted.

Conflict of Interest

Avoid conflicts of interest and disclose any potential conflicts to CDIC headquarters promptly.

Reputation Protection

Protect the reputation of CDIC at all times and conduct oneself in a manner befitting an official representative.

Fairness & Inclusion

Treat all individuals fairly and without discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, religion, or background.

3. Prohibited Conduct

Ambassadors shall not engage in any of the following:

Use the CDIC name or position for personal financial gain
Make unauthorized commitments or agreements on behalf of CDIC
Engage in fraudulent, deceptive, or dishonest activities
Misrepresent CDIC policies, programs, or official positions
Collect funds or fees of any kind without prior written authorization from CDIC
Engage in conduct likely to damage the reputation or integrity of CDIC

Any violation of the prohibited conduct provisions may result in immediate suspension or permanent removal from the CDIC Ambassador Program without prior notice.

4. Removal of Ambassadors

CDIC reserves the right to suspend or terminate an ambassador’s appointment where conduct is inconsistent with the values and objectives of the organization.

The decision to suspend or remove an ambassador rests solely with CDIC leadership. Ambassadors will be notified in writing where practicable. CDIC’s decision shall be final.

5. Declaration

By applying to and serving as a CDIC Ambassador, every ambassador formally declares and confirms the following:

“I agree to uphold the values, mission, and standards of the Cameroonian Diaspora Investment Council. I have read, understood, and accepted the CDIC Ambassador Code of Conduct in its entirety and commit to conducting myself accordingly in all activities undertaken as a CDIC Ambassador.”

All appointed CDIC Ambassadors are required to read, sign and submit this Code of Conduct declaration as part of the official onboarding process. Continued service as a CDIC Ambassador constitutes ongoing acceptance of this Code.
