Chapter 01 — 2024

CDIC Overview & Launch

How CDIC came to be — and what it stands for

The Cameroonian Diaspora Investment Council was officially launched in 2024 as an independent development-oriented institution committed to promoting diaspora engagement, investment facilitation, entrepreneurship, innovation and sustainable development in Cameroon.

CDIC was founded by Enyih Stanley Nde — an engineer, author and humanitarian with decades of experience in community development across Africa, the Americas, the Caribbean and Asia. The Council builds upon the foundation laid by NDES Foundation and expands that mission into a broader national and international platform.

From the outset, CDIC was designed as a fully digital platform — enabling Cameroonians anywhere in the world to connect, invest and contribute to national development without the barriers of geography or bureaucracy.

Key Milestones in 2024

  • Official launch of the CDIC platform and website
  • Adoption of the CDIC Constitution and governance framework
  • Opening of membership applications across all six membership levels
  • Launch of the CDIC Ambassador Program
  • Establishment of the first investment facilitation processes
  • Launch of five flagship development programs
Chapter 02 — 2024

Membership Growth

Building a global community of diaspora changemakers

CDIC welcomed over 50 founding members in its inaugural year, representing Cameroonians living across 12 countries on 5 continents. Our six membership levels were designed to be inclusive — welcoming everyone from young students and early-career professionals to established investors and corporate partners.

Membership Levels Launched

  • Founding Member — Lifetime membership for early supporters
  • Ordinary Member — Annual membership at 100,000 XAF per year
  • Associate Member — For diaspora professionals and supporters
  • Corporate Member — For businesses and organizations
  • Honorary Member — For distinguished contributors
  • Youth Member — For Cameroonians aged 18 to 35

Members are distributed across Europe (42%), the Americas (30%), Africa (18%) and Asia-Pacific (10%). France, the United Kingdom and the United States represent the three largest member communities.

Chapter 03 — 2024

Investment Activity

Connecting diaspora capital with Cameroon’s priority sectors

In its inaugural year, CDIC established its investment facilitation framework and began connecting diaspora investors with verified opportunities across Cameroon’s seven priority investment sectors.

Priority Investment Sectors

  • Agriculture & Agribusiness — Cassava processing, cocoa value chain, palm oil
  • Renewable Energy — Solar electrification, mini-grid projects
  • Real Estate & Housing — Affordable housing, commercial development
  • Healthcare — Clinics, medical equipment, pharmaceuticals
  • Education — Schools, training centers, digital education
  • Tourism & Hospitality — Eco-tourism, hotel development
  • Technology & Digital — Tech hubs, software, fintech

Three investment projects were formally initiated in 2024, with combined projected employment creation of over 60 jobs in local Cameroonian communities. All investment opportunities are thoroughly vetted before being presented to CDIC investors.

Chapter 04 — 2024

Ambassador Network

Official CDIC representatives across the global diaspora

One of CDIC’s most significant achievements in 2024 was the launch of the CDIC Ambassador Program and the appointment of our first cohort of official ambassadors. Each ambassador was carefully selected through a rigorous application and interview process.

Ambassador Program Highlights

  • 6 ambassadors appointed across 6 countries
  • Countries represented: France, United Kingdom, Germany, United States, Canada and Belgium
  • All ambassadors completed the official CDIC onboarding program
  • Each ambassador received an official CDIC Ambassador Certificate
